I believe I was. There are hangars visible from the road. I figured it was some experimental air craft. Weird thing was it was flat, like a sheet of paper and had no visible windows or door. My brain was trying to make sense of what I was seeing and I kept thinking "stealth bomber". I looked up picture of jets and planes and couldn't find anything close to what I saw, hence, I think of it as ufo.[/quote]

Just because you can’t identify it doesn’t make it an unidentified flying object.  Otherwise 90% of the birds I see would be UFOs.

I suspect it was some sort of instrumentation tethered to the ground to take measurements of something in their surface tanks.
