UFOs

Something is certainly going on. Did we need to form yet another freaking agency to address it? My answer is no, because it's not necessary. We'll probably continue having sightings, with nothing concrete or any actual threat to us. If they meant harm, something would have happened long ago.

Someone is proposing a new agency? I am all for it then. Where do I apply for one of these new WFH jobs to look at pictures on the Internet?

The Washingtonian magazine has an article on this.

0%. Aliens travel decades over light years of space and then decide to play hide and seek?

Have you never watched Outlander?

No one can doubt the evidence exists.

What the evidence represents is debatable.

“Extraterrestrials” is just one possibility.

I believe it's fiction.

I saw a(n) ufo 16 years ago while driving on Clara Barton Pkwy. It was 8am on a clear sunny fall day. My nephew saw it, too. It was a 2 dimensional metallic gray triangle approx 40' from base to top point (size estimated based on a turkey vulture flying nearby). The ufo was hovering over the road, approximately 100' feet up. I have no idea wtf it was that we saw that day, but I've never forgotten it, either has my nephew.

Were you near the Naval Surface Warfare Center?

I too have wondered. Good reasons to keep quiet about them as it could change our perspective of the world.

Call in the Space Force! What is that agency doing anyway? Perfect job for them.

Lucky you didn't get abducted and probed. Happens often.

I believe I was. There are hangars visible from the road. I figured it was some experimental air craft. Weird thing was it was flat, like a sheet of paper and had no visible windows or door. My brain was trying to make sense of what I was seeing and I kept thinking "stealth bomber". I looked up picture of jets and planes and couldn't find anything close to what I saw, hence, I think of it as ufo.

Just because you can’t identify it doesn’t make it an unidentified flying object. Otherwise 90% of the birds I see would be UFOs.

I suspect it was some sort of instrumentation tethered to the ground to take measurements of something in their surface tanks.

I doubt it was unidentified to the center.

Probably a kite being used as a target.

I think they are experimental military craft. I never understood why, when we knew or suspected Area 51 was a military base, people still concluded that strange craft spotted near there were aliens and not military. But the public’s willingness to embrace the extraterrestrial narrative must be super useful to whichever departments are working on experimental craft.

I would like to believe, but I just can’t.

Quite true. It's happened to a few people I know.

Me too! Let’s find the details and report back. I’m bored with humans.
