Please encourage your friends to do the same. Just go somewhere else to the beach.

Try to have friends who can think for themselves.

Losers from Loserville trying to bring guns into the Magic Kingdom. These people are in a cult.

I feel the same about New York.

Same here. Imagine being a repeat criminal knowing you can do the same thing tomorrow, without consequences.

Yeah, but Florida has its own kind of crazy+stupid. There's a reason "Florida man" is a thing.

There is, but it has nothing to do with what you’re implying. It has to do with the state’s laws surrounding the media releasing the names of suspects. Protecting the innocent from publicity means you get a lot of newspaper reports that say “Florida Man” rather than “Wayne, DeShaun, Joey, and Carlos.”

Many other states have permit-less open carry, including Virginia. (Anyone thinking about not going?) You can buy a handgun and carry it on your belt wherever you go in an open holster, no permit required.

What’s the big deal about concealed carry, specifically, vs. open?

Some of the states with the highest rates of violent crime in the country.

Hence the need to be armed. When seconds matter the police are minutes away.

Maybe some of them can seek safety in New York or Illinois.

We have a place just north of Miami and genuinely not sure I should be taking the kids there at this point.

Wait. You're just now debating this? You should definitely sell your place. Absolutely. And don't go to Florida ever again.

I did. And I do not play to return.

Yes! For God's sake, don't go to Florida beaches. You can find nice liberal beaches in Delaware and New Jersey without driving/flying and contributing to pollution. It's really your civic duty to stay away from Florida, and maybe the entire southeast.

Or we can look at states like Massachusetts and Hawaii where the fewest amount of people own guns and there are fewer gun deaths. I don’t understand how people can’t see the correlation between lax gun laws, owning guns and gun violence.

About 12.5% of people living in Massachusetts own a gun. Over 50% of people living in Mississippi own a gun. Gun death rates for Massachusetts is just under 4% per 100,000. In Mississippi it’s 34% per 100,000.

There are other factors too but until gun culture is changed in red states there will be more violence and mass shooting.

You are choosing to ignore some very key factors, along with the fact that Mississippi is largely rural.

Exactly! Or better yet, stay where you are if you really care about pollution. Sink your feet into a little tub of white sand and turn on the sun lamp. To further enhance your experience, post a few postcards of those glorious beaches and let your imagination go wild. You’ll be better prepared to embrace your 15 minute city coming soon, to wherever you are.

Oh, and Democrat elites hyperventilating about climate change need to sell off their ocean front resorts, or shut up. Their hypocrisy is laughable.
