Starting today you can carry a concealed firearm without a permit in Florida

Is anyone thinking twice about going?
We have a place just north of Miami and genuinely not sure I should be taking the kids there at this point.

Along with 15 other states that have Constitutional carry.

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Has not crossed my mind. How many people concealed carried with a permit? Even under a “permit-to-concealed carry” regime, I wouldn’t know who was or wasn’t carrying. When I don’t know if someone has a gun, I assume they do.

Mostly. Seems safer to assume folks are armed. Might not be concealed carry, might just be a gun under the seat in their car. Either way, fairly readily accessible.

Or why they might have mental health problems when they have to carry out active shooter drills from kindergarten on.
