I am struggling

There is an app called White Flag, that may be helpful when you need to talk. It’s completely free and anonymous. When you’re struggling you raise your flag and someone talks to you. Similarly, when you are feeling well, you may want to respond to someone else’s flag.

I’m sorry you are struggling. Life is hard and lonely. I see you and you are important. You are loved.

Your PCP can get you on some antidepressants. They take weeks to work so be patient. Meditation has changed my life but yes I know how you feel! One day, one hour at a time. You are loved and necessary.

I don’t feel like I have anyone I can lean on with this. The opposite— I feel I have to keep it together for others and hide what is really going on with me.

I just needed to tell someone. I wish I had someone, anyone, who could help me.

When I felt like this 10 years ago, I went on “Psychology Today” website and was able to use their filters to find a therapist in my area who used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It was life changing and helped me tremendously.

It was also helpful to read some articles on that website about feelings and situations that I was experiencing. That helped me to feel not as alone, that others also experienced what I did and gave me hope that I could be helped.

I cannot find a therapist. I have worked hard to find one and a CANNOT do it. Please stop telling people to get therapists like it’s easy, it’s not.

I feel exactly the same way OP. You are not alone.

It’s hard to be the strong one all of the time. Please contact a local church. They often have free counselors or a Pastor that will help and listen. Praying for you Op. hugs and lots of love

Stop preying on desperate people just to advance your religious beliefs. Despicable. Christians exploit your pain so that they can evangelize to you.

Agree! There are some good, specific recommendations here that include things I’ve never heard of. Not OP—but appreciate the sharing!

DP, Please stop projecting. MANY people have found help via religion after feeling hopeless. You many not be a believer but you are indeed the despicable one to paint religion with such a broad brush.

Can you go to the local church and tell a priest? Sometimes just getting it out is helpful.
