Op, I would say preschool and K was the best!
Them 2nd through 4th grade was other good wave! Not so much in MS or HS from my own experiences with both children. Maybe different if you have active outside travel sports or in a band. |
I just recently made some new friends at my kid’s middle school. I volunteered to chair a committee and got to know some moms who volunteered. |
NP. Sports, sure, but any activity works for meeting parents. Do your kids....do scouts? Dance classes? Art classes, church if that's your thing, kids' theater, etc. etc.? Whatever activity kids do, there's usually a need for a lot of active parent volunteers. That's a great way to support the activity, demonstrate to your kids that it's good to get involved and even mom does it, and the bonus is you'll meet other parents while you do it. Same goes for schools, OP; get involved at your kids' schools -- not PTA if that's not for you, but there are always events and school clubs etc. where parent volunteers are important. And you'll meet people. |
