Sorry, I have the same problem. Husband is quiet and my mother takes that as being cold and unfriendly. He just has nothing to say at the moment and in my family everyone tries to fill silence with inane comments.
I told her he got a bonus at work (which was true, but I made it sound like a bigger deal than it was) and then she liked him for a while. |
