Yes, 100% |
D liked it and it was strong consideration for her, but ultimately went to a very similar school but more urban. After in college we were talking about it one day and she said she was really glad she didn't go there because people really have nothing to do on weekends except drink. |
I have met one person who told me they attended Fairfield - they definitely had a Catholic background and despite going in as pre-med (this is what they said to me, so query it all you like I'm just the messenger here) they ended up in Business / Financial fields. |
I’m not sure why you would think that’s the case. It’s walkable to a town center with a bunch of restaurants. Kids go to sports games, club sports competitions, study, walk and do many other things. Like at any school. |
Yea, and besides she didn’t go there herself so how the hell could she know? She sounds like a real peach. Fairfield was better off without her. |
you don't need to attack / direct your venom towards people really. |
This was obviously ages ago but DH is a 1982 graduate. He has lifetime friends from his Fairfield days. A really nice group of people. All still in the NE

My brothers went to Fairfield prep (all boys Jesuit) and the campus is nice and safe. Fairfield has Jennings beach and some good restaurants, farmers markets, etc. Not far from Stamford or South Norwalk for hipper restaurants and bars, and of course NYC is very easy to get to. No one from my high school went to Fairfield U but several from my brothers’ prep classes did. |
Plus 2. Grew.up in Nearby Westport. To correct a previous poster, Boston is not close (3 hours+) |
I went there. I think it’s pretty true nothing to do but drink. That’s what my fiends and I did. It was awesome. Great placement in financial fields. |
Well done 1985 |
Stamford to Boston is about 3 hours on the Acela. |
Congratulations. |
+1 LOL! I went there (and loved it!) Soo much drinking. How did our livers survive?! ![]() |
Then you were clueless |
