Here are STA's:
15 in total. 20% of the class. https://www.instagram.com/p/Crs4uQJOowi/ |
| really impressive for sta! |
May be popular amongst women, but doesn’t bring in revenue like women’s basketball. |
15?! How do they have so many great athletes? Is there an entry point at HS when they take in all new athletes? |
+1 Maret consistently has 10+ kids each year who continue their sport in college. This year I think it's about 15 kids in a class of 85. That's close to 20% of the grade. A good number of those (maybe about 1/3) are D1. |
Most of these boys entered in lower school. My son is in the current 10th grade and my guess is that there will also be 15+ recruits from this class. There is a lot of outlying athletic talent spread across multiple sports. |
Yes but ECNL players are a dime a dozen and most are average to below average n terms of ECNL. HS girls soccer is even lower competition vs ECNL. So if you have 2-3 ENCL players per class you will have a strong HS team. About 1/2 of the girls don’t want to play in college or want to go to a different college vs the one offering admissions help. |
| Remember though, most ECNL girls who are actually D1 prospect don't play on their high school team, or at least only play senior year |
| OP has to mean recruited into the independent school to play. |
I think you are distracted by the recent tourney. Normally soccer is much more popular. |
This just simply isn't true. Maybe they have 1 or 2 D1, every now and then, not more than that. D3, sure. All you need for that is to be decent at the sport and for top academic LACS, to have really good grades. |

There are also the girls volleyball recruits.
Also, what about St John’s? Does anyone know there numbers? |
What on earth is GDA? |
