What do you want to leave BVR? We want to apply there, what is the problem?

Only complaint I’ve heard is it’s not very academic. So 4th grade might be an awakening unless you go to another slow glide path school.

We are starting there - what does "not academic" mean? Will we have to do prep outside of school for the NCS entrance exam?

Nonsense. It is very academic. Both of my kids attended Beauvoir and sailed easy upon entering 4th at STA/NCS. Some people do light supplementing over the summer on their own at home an hour or two a week of fun activities (but kids lose 25 percent of what they learn over the summer so you should do this anyway regearledlss of school). We loved Beauvoir. It was kind and diverse and sweet. Hopefully it is still that way?

only ones I know that left early left for 3rd grade entrance at Holton/Landon when they begin. They knew Cathedral schools were too academic for them (their words not mine).

Our child left Beauvoir a year early (after 2nd grade) to go to Sidwell. She had a terrific experience at Beauvoir, but we knew we had a strong preference for Sidwell for the later years so applied for her to switch to Sidwell for 3rd.

We just thought, “Why are we paying all of this money to go to this school and they’re not helping us?!?” It was a very eye opening experience and I still have a lot of negative feelings towards the school because of it.

We felt the same at St. Andrew's.

I thought St. Andrew’s was supposed to be better with learning disabilities

Check out Green Acres, Washington Waldorf, and Grace in Kensington.

No no and no not even close to Beauvoir

My child went to Beauvoir and then onto a top school (not NCS/STA) and did amazingly well academically. Beauvoir prepared them beautifully

No, this is ridiculous. My DD was more than prepared for NCS and has never had a tutor
