Wellness objectives are not entirely, if at all, related to equity.

In the name of equity they're destroying learning. School isnt supposed all sunshine and bright and colorful like these people make it out to be.

Why is this so upsetting to you? Relax.

My children would LOVE this.

OP is a donkey and is jealous of the attention the llamas are getting.

I teach at a FCPS high school and we did something similar during our Advisory period. Kids could sign up if they wanted and there was no academic time lost. It was very fun to see the kids excited and playing with the animals.

This OP sounds unhinged and I worry for his kids.

OP has nothing better to do and is probably nuts to complain about this. With that said, my 7th grade boy loved this!!!! It was the highlight of his week for sure. I hope they keep doing it.

My ES kids had the rabbits/llamas visit in the fall. They loved it! No hate here, and I'm someone who desperately wishes FCPS had more rigor and actually attempted to teach, say, spelling. Sometimes you just gotta live a little.

Taking my students who are adults to one of the animal parks this week for sooooo many reasons. Stress relief, job shadowing, education opportunities outside of the classroom, and goats! All the Goats!
Any chance you are related to Miss Trunchbull?

Op, you are a Drama Llama!

Its the week before AP exams soo yeah, the schools are trying to reduce some stress. Are you in Loudon? I know a HS there did that Monday(they had no school as well as alpacas).
Our schoool gave out free cake and stress balls, also had some therapy dogs in(but the dogs come each quarter). It is usually not "taking" away from class time.

My kid had a therapy dog in science today, and then took a test right after — he aced it!

My kid’s private high school did this during their free period. They are going thru testing. It’s to relieve stress. Maybe you should be a llama and unwind

Animals during lunch??? That’s not sanitary at all. Yuck! Hope the kids washed their hands (you know they didn’t.) Be prepared to sue FCPS for any illnesses from this.
