I understand how awful the screaming or crying is but damn if this man isn't expecting more from the child than himself.
Everyone's on edge. It's been a long day for everyone and he even admits to having headphones on and sleeping. It likely hot and the kids adult(s) stressed and it's just escalating.

Kid could have an ear infection and they didn't know. So many things and people are just wild.
I'd rather drive 10 hours than be on a plane. I don't understand how it is easier or more relaxing.

The reason why there should be child free flights. Or. Children in back area of planes. After all, under age two, they are flying for free but the rest of passengers are paying. They do not pay to hear your kid screaming. Stop flying with sick children, drive instead!

If airlines were smart, they’d have babies and toddlers sit up front, last on and first off. Why isn’t that common sense?

Because parents of young kids have the option to drive. Flying is a privilege, not a right.

No one gets first class anything just because they have kids. Nice try.

I can see his point, and am surprised this doesn't happen more often. Lady on the 8 hour flight to Italy ignoring her screaming baby for eight hours straight, while you talked loudly across the aisle during the entire redeye flight, I'm talking to you.

Except of course there are many places in this world you can't drive to at all or you can't drive to in a reasonable amount of time. It might not be easier or more relaxing to fly but I'm not prepared to limit my life where my travel options to see family, friends, and the world is how far I can drive in my car on the off chance I run into someone like the man in this news story.

You do you though.

You can choose to get on the plane last. We always did when our kids were young. I never understood the families that leap up and take advantage of early boarding for people with young kids. Hell no. You've just signed up for 20 minutes more of containing the baby/child on the plane in your seat. Why.

I have seen all this stuff on social media but I have never seen anything like it in real life, and I fly a lot. Not a reason not to fly.

Am I the only one who finds this video to be strangely hilarious? The guy is out of order, for sure, but I'll admit that I've had similar thoughts when listening to a baby scream for hours on a flight. Of course, I kept them to myself.

Nope I think that flying used to be luxurious and now it literally is packed like sardines and everyone is hot and you are lucky to get more than 4 oz to drink and god forbid you need to go to the bathroom while the plane is on the tarmac for the 4th hour or is circling for 1.5 hours after being on a plane for 4 hours.

I will fly solo as long as I have an edible beforehand.

That's truly sad.

Because I am bringing on car seats, a baby and a toddler, AND carry-ons, and it would be impossible to do that - on a plane full of people - without bumping into people with the stuff.

The man in this video is a disgrace; how embarrassing. His poor wife, I felt so bad for her watching the video

We don't have control over our kids crying. Deal with it.

It feels like being a hostage of the airlines. They are creating these situations. I would also ban alcohol but people would lose their minds over it. At the very least there should be limits. I had to sit next to a guy who drank the entire flight from dc to Texas and was groping me as he kept doing something bizarre with his pants. I said something to the flight attendant as she handed him is 4th drink and she ignored me.

These stories make news because they don't happen that often. I like to travel so I am risking the odds of this happening. You can miss out on seeing the world but not me.

What a ridiculous post. It is a privilege and not a right for lunatics who go crazy on a plane for any reason. He should have driven since I'm sure he and his wife both know he is a nut job.

If they have the money than they get to fly. Would you apply your logic to any other group? People of color? Muslims? Jews? Be careful of your discrimination
