Am curious to hear why you say this. We are inbound for Browne (Early Action guaranteed) but will still try to lottery next year for preK3. We've been thinking of listing Two Rivers Young high on our list because of proximity. FWIW we are in a small two-bedroom and hoping to expand our family. We will likely only be in the neighborhood through K at most.

Search many recent threads on the issues with TRY.

I looked (and went back 4 pages) it seems there are behavioral problems in the MS, non-specific teacher turnover/availability issues, and leadership turnover (which will likely be rectified through hiring). Its not very obvious to me that those issues would mean not bidding on it for the preK3 lotto next year.

You seem awfully dismissive of some huge red flags. You don't find it problematic that the executive director and principal both left midyear? That entire grades of teachers quit midyear?

Not being dismissive, but searching through the forum isn’t easy either and what I turned up raised questions but wasn’t definitive. Like I said in my earlier post I looked through 4 pages of search responses and the issues were generic. Like it was not clear that bullying and behavioral problems are throughout all grade levels. The explanation of the principal or ED leaving was familial issues (I can’t remember which one), which seems reasonable given the reasons provided. Maybe in actuality it was “family issues” :::wink wink:::. But that is not something someone can decipher reading through the threads. I also saw no mention of entire grade of teachers leaving mid year, just passing mentions that they had turnover and were relying on substitutes and consolidated classes to get by.

You seem to have superior knowledge of the threads and have specific ones in mind. You could’ve been helpful and shared some but instead you decided to be condescending and rude to someone at the very early stages of our consideration process.

Dial down the drama. All I said was that you were being dismissive of red flags. You keep talking a lot about a school you seem to have little actual knowledge about. Maybe you should have a learning stance at this point in time.

I am no apologist for TR or the departed ED. She was a disaster. Sadly her departure was not related to TR's trajectory. The incompetent, lazy, disconnected Board would have kept her. She left because of a family matter. The schools is actually much better off with her gone. That one is a check in the "win" category.

lol that’s a very benign way of describing why she left.

I didn’t like her either but don’t think the next one is likely to be any better. Problems run deep at two rivers.

I'm the PP you responded to. I actually had "family matter" in quotes and removed it before I hit publish. My challenge here is that, while she was incompetent, she is not responsible for her husband's actions. They have a young family and his impending trial and possible jail time are reasonable reasons for her to move closer to home (Baltimore) to spend time with her family.

The more interesting and damning point here is that the Board was happy to keep her on. That's a much larger indictment and problem than Kristina. It is one of the reasons anyone who can escape, should. As long as the current clown show board in is place things won't get better.
