Ted Lasso - Season 3

Anonymous
I love the show but this season is a disappointment. A list of my grievances for season 3:

The psychic - whyyyyy
Roy and Keeley….why do we have to have the will they, with they drama
Trent Crimm - I love the character! But did we really have to put him in the locker room and make him basically be a Diamond Dog?
Zava - ok funny, but it’s just silly and not in the normal Ted Lasso silly way

And can we talk about Rebecca’s back story? I feel like we were lead to believe she was a powerful business woman who built a football empire with her rich husband. Now it turns out she was a bottle girl who Rupert hit on while he was married? That’s a disappointment.

Where is the story going with the gay character? When episode 3 began with him I thought I had inadvertently clicked on the wrong show. (We did accidentally skip episode 2 and haven't watched it yet so maybe I need to watch that one to understand.)

I agree that it unfortunately has. Just does not feel like the prior seasons at all.

I’m still enjoying it. It’s not the amazing surprise it was in season 1, but I’m still invested in the characters.

+1
Not quite as fresh as 1&2 but it still has its moments. I loved when Jamie corrected Beard by saying it was "hypocrisy" and not "irony."

Roy is annoying as hell to me - the gruff act is so old at this point. And it sounds like it must hurt to talk.

Oh, I'm still invested. I want Keeley and Roy to reconcile, and I want Nate to get his comeuppance but I know that won't happen.

DP. I'm so sad about Nate. That was the fastest personality 180 I've ever seen. I feel like he just wants his father's approval so desperately and is never going to get it. Makes me feel terrible for him. But I also can't stand him.

I also love Trent Crimm - there is something so sexy about him, I can't put my finger on it. Now that he knows Colin is gay, will he out him in his book?? Is Trent Crimm himself gay?

Anyone know why they only released part of season 3 and when the rest of the episodes will be available?

Yup
dead as a dodo

I felt the same way about Derry Girls and its third season. Much less funny and the plots were more contrived. Maybe shows like this are only good for two seasons before they lapse into mediocrity.

So true about Derry Girls. I guess it’s hard to pull off a third season. The characters become cliches of themselves. (I’m looking at you Sr Michael)

To make more money by ensuring you have a subscription for longer?

Aren’t they releasing a new episode every Wednesday? Those first 3 episodes were released one at a time for the past 3 Wednesdays. The last episode will ge released end of May(?)

It's obligatory. Just checking the box.

He's based on Zlatan, and it's pretty funny but you would have to be a real soccer fan to get the references.

Sassy is so pretty. But kind of mean that she called Ted "a mess."

Keeley is looking worse and worse - so tacky. I couldn't figure out what Jack's deal was all about. She seemed so sour and odd.

I got sparks between her and Keely. I don't think she's sour - I think she's reserved.

Sassy is really pretty! I love how she dresses, too. Keely and Rebecca obviously have the most FUN and interesting clothes, but she has the wardrobe I'd actually want.

She was right that Ted is a mess. Seems like he's going to use her saying that as an opportunity for personal growth. Do we think he and his wife are getting back together at the end of this?

We are big Zlatan fans in our house, got this reference quickly, and even recognized they very specific goal of his they recreated. It's funny!

No, I think he moves on from the wife. They haven't developed her character enough for us to want them back together, I think introducing her love interest will serve as a catalyst for Ted to move on.
