| wow, Apple Martin must be some student. |
| Vandy is likely the biggest TO school in the T15. About 40% of admits last year I believes How they can make decisions on these kids without scores - and rampant covid grade inflation in every public school for this class - is beyond me. A top 5% gpa from a Big 3 is not the same as top 5% at a public. |
| Who is Apple Martin? |
| Rejection, SAT 1490, 4.0 UW, 4.3 W, public, good rigor. Strong AP scores. |
| Rejected. 4.6 GPA, 1530 SAT |
Do you live under a rock? Also, google works |
| They’re using TO as a reason to admit whoever they want. And now it seems scores & gpa take a backseat to what, I don’t know, but for 80k, shouldn’t this process be more transparent? |
| Has the waitlist moved much in recent years? |
My DC got off WL in '21 on May 4, but stayed with their 5/1 commit. That year Vandy only did one round of WL admits on 5/4 for Arts & Sciences. Peabody, I believe took off the WL in two rounds. I can't remember exact number, but it was a very small number. They strung people along, not announcing that they were done with the WL until late May, but never took anybody else off. |
This feels like a running theme this year - I can't wait to see everyone's final RD results to get full picture. |
Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter. |
Depends on the public, Top 5% at Langley, McLean, Madison and Oakton could probably rival most any school. These kids are crazy impressive. |
Would also add W-L and Yorktown to that list. |
???? My asian kid was rejected in ED2. Not sure why this comment. |
Because people on this site are terrible and presumably, want someone to blame for their kids not getting in. Disgusting. Obviously, a lot of private school parents on this thread who cannot believe schools would have the audacity to accept public school kids and heaven forbid, test-optional kids. Come on people. Be better. |
