We’ve reached the point where businesses are hiring private security. Goulet is the only Democrat who has provided a clear vision for our police force. Charles Allen speaks in word salad peppered with new age progressive jargon. No doo is a lost cause. Frumin is completely silent on crime because he’s afraid of a primary from one of the militant ANC commissioners. It’s really quite pathetic to see a 60+ year old man completely neutered.

Do you believe that MPD doesn’t have any vacancies? Have you not seen the bonuses they are offering? If you are really concerned about the MPD shortfall, maybe you could consider signing up to help solve the problem.

Violent crime is actually down, both locally and nationwide. It's a make-believe problem, and make-believe problems deserve make-believe solutions.

In DC homicide is up 20%, sex crimes up 100%, auto thefts up 100%, arson up 40%. All crime up 22% even with the crimes that have been decriminalized in recent years. What City do you live in?

I love that Goulet is calling out the insane leftists that are ruining this city. Just today we got news that the Capitals and Wizards will likely end up leaving DC for Virginia. Downtown DC will become even more of a crime-ridden ghost town.

They won't 'likely leave"

The teams are asking the city to pony up a half billion dollars for "upgrades" to an arena that opened in 1997 and has had two infusions of upgrades in the intervening period of time.

What you are seeing is team owners leveraging to get the city to play ball.

The bottom line, no one is going to VA from DC and MD for pro sports events. There is a reason the teams are located in DC - so it is easier for everyone to go to the middle of the region for sports, theater, museums etc
