You really don't think that airtags dont work in the suburbs, do you? You know that suburbs are v different than rural areas and campsites, right? Most of us live on 1/4 acre lots at the largest. |
You terrible parent! By the time my child was in Kinder, they knew their days of being bailed out by mama were over. Lose the backpack, take your stuff to school in a grocery bag for the rest of the year! |
*Every* iPhone is a sensor though. While the sensing network might be sparser in the 'burbs, there is always an iPhone passing by. |
| I love my air tag. I put it on my keys. Now my watch finds my phone and my phone finds my keys and I'm on time to work every day and it's a gosh darn technology miracle. |
Same! Also I’m currently tracking my ~65 year old mother around the city as she plays tourist (her request in case she gets lost) … while there’s a lag it’s pretty accurate and have zero issues |
I haven't used them but there was a crazy WaPo story where a local woman saw the airline was lying about her bags because she could see they were at an apartment building (they said they had it). She saw her bag go to McDonalds and other shopping venues over a couple of days. She finally went to the apartment complex and saw several empty suitcases by the dumpster. Apparently they used a contractor who was not doing his/her job. |
Can't he solve the same problem by buying his own air tag? NP and I don't see the issue on this one, and I'm probably over sensitive to helicoptering. |
I'm assuming the child in question is in elementary school. |
LOL |
Yeah, I mean when he’s an adult. Pp’s say they’re enabling him, but aren’t they reaching him to use an AirTag for things he wants to keep track of. |
| Moved internationally last year. Bought four. Put one in each of our two shipped cars, one in a high value item box from our household goods, and one in a carry on bag with valuables we had with us during transit. Was able to track everything, and being able to know where the cars were was extremely helpful. There were a couple days when it just said they were in the English channel, but then they popped up in the ports they were supposed to be in so we could better gauge how long we needed to retain our rental cars and when we could travel to the port to retrieve them. Car shipping companies provide no updates other than a general two week window when they will likely show up. |
