Do AirTags work ?

Do you have AirTags do they work?
Or they only work if they are connected to wifi?
I noticed that the AirPods Pro’s aren’t that great in verifying location when they are not near the wifi.

Can confirm that they do indeed work. I put one on my dog’s collar after he escaped the first time. He has subsequently escaped from our back yard another 5-6 times and the air tag allows us to quickly locate and retrieve him.

Yes. We've used them to track our kids on field trips/scout trips.

Yes - relatives were able to track six missing luggage pieces to exact baggage claim area at BWI after the Christmas travel fiasco with Southwest from Denver because had AirTags in them. SW could not tell them where their luggage was after trip here was cancelled after they waited for hours at Denver airport. They called us next evening when showed up on tracker and we drove to BWI, looked over hundreds of bags and found theirs right next to the baggage claim belt where the air tag showed location. Had them FedEx’d back to CO, wasn’t cheap but they needed their things back and no help from SW.

Stop making your dog other people's problem. 5-6 times?!

We just used them last weekend in our bags for air travel and we could see them moving around (under) the airport and onto our plane.

Is is creepy to any other iphone users that they work by getting info from other people's phones. I know you can track family that way but there you requested. Wonder what else our phones are being used to track without our knowledge.

There might be a delay. We put one on our luggage coming from England in Jan. Arrived at BWI and AirTag showed still at Heathrow. Luggage came through but the AirTag didnt update until we got home.

They work VERY well! The only time you "lose" them in luggage is over the oceans and/or where there isn't good cell service. Helped me get my bags back from the summer travel fiascos.
