It can pinpoint where the airtag is anywhere. |
Range of the AirTag is about 33 feet: https://www.safewise.com/apple-airtag-faqs Useless for hiking, camping, visiting suburbs or rural areas, etc. |
| Yup. I stick one on my kid when she does ski school. |
Or near android users.. |
And this is teaching him to be responsible for his belongings exactly how? |
It isn't! He will probably grow up to be an irresponsible, lazy, terrible person. All because of an air tag in his backpack. Oh well (shrug)! |
|
yes, but there is often a lag. I've tried to follow my luggage from the plane while waiting at baggage claim and often I will only get the update a couple times, and in very poor signal areas you may not get a ping at all... it's dependent on being picked up by other cell phones/wifi.
so the precision isn't there unless the object being tracker is stationary or mostly stationary and gets picked up by a passing cell phone etc. I'm butchering the explanation but this is easy to google for a better answer |
My dog didn't escape quite that many times, but the lawn guys and the neighbors used to leave our gates (we have three) open. It took us a minute to figure out who was being stupid now. |
No, not because of the air tags. Because mama is always bailing him out. |
By helping him figure out systems and workarounds to keep track of important things. (Your comment is like asking how people who put important events in their calendars are learning to be responsible, instead of just remembering the dates on their own.) |
Agree! I am always bailing him out, as evidenced by throwing an air tag into his backpack. Oh well... |
X2. Never apologize for doing your best to take care of your children and their belongings. There are other, better ways to teach responsibility. |
| I’ve used them on a few ski trips this year and they worked great. At the very least it’s helpful for ensuring your bag gets on the plane and to your destination, particularly with expensive ski gear |
We have one on our dogs collar as well, and we were also able to quickly find him when he escaped. |
At least when he and his future spouse go to marriage counseling bc of these traits, they will be able to point the blame right where it belongs. On Mom and an airtag in the backpack in 2023. |
