Many are definitely not qualified for their appointments. I'm not sure I would call this a moderate or even slightly center left. This is very left wing. As is the administration's stance on transexual rights. And attempting to cancel student loans despite openly acknowledging it didn't have the constitutional rights to do so. And the scale of funding under the infrastructure acts. No attempt at balancing books. A moderate was Bill Clinton and even Obama was more moderate in his presidency than Biden.

If he was a “leftist” as you say, we’d have the things his base wants by now. They’re nowhere to be found thus far!

His base? You mean the far left base?
Because, there are still enough Democrats in Congress who can't fathom the far left policies he would try to push through.

The people who voted for him.

Yup.

On economic terms he's also gone dumb far-left.

Bill Clinton managed to balance the books and ensure widespread prosperity.

Joe Biden? Let's throw trillions around, manufacture massive inflation harming the working class, let's throw more money and sure why not let's illegaly forgive half a trillion student debt.

LOL, Biden has already reduced the deficit by hundreds of billions after Trump recklessly blew up our budget, just as Obama reduced the deficit after Bush II recklessly blew up our budget, just as Clinton got us to a surplus after Bush I and Reagan blew up our budget. Notice a pattern?

Republicans are truly out to lunch in their own little world, aren't they?

Only one tiny tiny detail that challenges your bs.

Out-of-control, historic inflation. Make sure to listen to Powell today.

Today? He is a leftist. Five years from now? He could be a Reagan Democrat. It’s one thing for a politicians beliefs to evolve between the time they were first elected to when they get older and have kids, a spouse, a mortgage, military service, etc. Biden is different. Politically, his beliefs today are almost the polar opposite since when he was a grown man in his 50s. He will basically say anything to get elected including making things up out of thin air. He makes George Santos blush.

He’s left of moderate, but he’s not a leftist.

His signature legislation is an infrastructure bill and a domestic manufacturing bill. He's as economically moderate as you can be

I hope you listen to Powell today too, because then you might actually learn something - like how inflation is a monetary phenomenon, not a fiscal one.

I won't hold my breath though. Like so many Republicans on DCUM, you are very confident in your ignorance.

Bill Clinton was a moderate.

Focusing on DEI makes you a leftist? In what world? I know a lot of Rs (at the least the original type) who believe in diversity. It's just this new Trump wing that doesn't.

To be fair, the Trump wing loves diversity when it means they get to talk about how Trump getting a few extra percentage points of Asian, Latino, and Black voters than Romney or Bush is proof that Democrats are the real racists.

It's everything else about diversity that they hate.

It’s hard to take anyone seriously who uses the word “leftist”. This tells me you read a lot of junk conservative propaganda.

If high schools and colleges could teach real civics classes again, we’d be a better country.

I'm an economist, dear ignoramus. It's consensus outside your little bubble that most inflation in the US, as opposed to the EU, is driven by massive government stimulus. Which is why inflation here kicked off in mid-late 2021, before the Ukraine war, and why it continues to hold despite supply chain repair and energy and goods disinflation.

It's not good to discuss these topics with your own bathroom morning in the am and to believe you're having an informed debate you know.

People believed Biden would be a continuation of the moderate Obama. But he is far to the left of Obama and is running the most radical administration in modern history.

He's a moderate.
