Chris rock special

He has a history of comedic stalking and Jada is perpetually his victim of choice, hence the slap. I don’t condone violence, but for some reason he just can’t let her go. Perhaps she rejected him at some point when they crossed paths. Who knows, but his treatment of women is pitiful. He and DCUM continue to make this about Jada, when really it is about two men that couldn’t control their worse impulses and behaved poorly in public. Call it comedy if you want but repeatedly referring to a woman you attempted to humiliate at the Oscars a B during your Netflix special is not worthy of praise. I hope is ex wife got half of his fee.

FTR, he was calling Will a B…which is essentially the most derogatory term a black person can hurl at a black man.

Rock’s own marriage ended due to his porn addiction and cheating. His ex did get half, and he’s still bitter.

Has anyone considered the fact that Will and Jada might not be nice people?

Will Smith should have been charged for assault. Instead he only apologized when doing publicity for his next movie.

I’m the pp you quoted, and I’m confident the Smiths are terrible people.

Jada grew up privileged in Baltimore yet cos-played “street” to build her career. She once said in an interview that she couldn’t relate to white people…while she has essentially lived the life of a super privileged white woman. She’s the biggest Karen on the planet, and she’s clearly frustrated that she hitched her wagon to Will…who isn’t the badass man she wanted. And her own career has been lackluster.

Will’s ego has always been too big. He has had some good performances, but he’s not the icon he thinks he is.

I think they are miserable people, and I suspect they will plot revenge for this very public, very orchestrated take down. I’m curious who will stand by them.

Calling Will out for only picking on smaller people was the perfect way to make Will look weak.

I didn't watch it and I don't know how the special came about, but it's been a year. Something bad happened that's already been discussed, apologies given, and personal and financial impacts made to Will. This seems highly exploitative and a money grab. I can already see special 2.0 next year with a followup.

The better thing would've been for Chris to move on and for Netflix not to take advantage of this.

Seriously? Chris was slapped across the face on live TV on a show watched by millions around the world. He didn't press charges. I'm more than fine with him talking about it in a Netflix special. He's a comedian. That's what he does. If he didn't mention it, that would be very odd indeed.

+1. I couldn't disagree more the first post. You want Chris Rock to take the slap and then shut up about it forever, too? No way.

After watching this special ... I kinda think he deserved to get smacked.

He's right about Will and Jada and Markle, but he's still not very funny.

Very much an “everybody’s the a$$h0le” scenario.

Many of us don't engage in physical violence. Can't imagine thinking that way or acting that way.

TWO men who could not control themselves? I only saw one man being the aggressor.

Filming it in Jada’s hometown was the cherry on top.

Chris actually did control himself. After Will slapped the life out of him, he very faintly said "I could..." and them stopped himself lol.
