Another Genxer her and I completely agree!! So many great movies in the 80's!! (I was born in 69) |
| Xer here and I agree with OP. Red Dawn was definitely the best movie from the 80s. It was thought provoking for 13 year old me in all of the best ways. Doesn’t mean that I don’t similarly love Say Anything, Pretty in Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful, Stand By Me, Lost Boys, and Heathers. But Red Dawn lit a fire in me that directed the way I faced life. |
| Predator, terminator there are better 80s movies. Red dawm looks like a 70s cheap made for tv |

I don’t remember Red Dawn, but the description reminded me of the mini-series Amerika. Does anyone else remember that?
My picks for ‘80s movies: +1 Wargames Good Morning Vietnam White Nights Back to the Future The Secret of My Success Beetlejuice Mr. Mom Big Steel Magnolias Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Mannequin Real Genius I could just keep going - there were so many great ones, and we went to Blockbuster even more frequently than the mall. Does anyone else remember these? They weren’t big hits, but I remember loving them way back when. Sweet Liberty High Road to China American Dreamer |
