And yet for both my kids, one a visual artist, and one a musician, Temple would be at or near the top of the list, over many of the other schools.

That is why I wrote: "Without more info. regarding major...."

W/O additional info. Temple is last due to safety concerns.

IMO there are very, very few schools that can say they do better with Arts and Sciences higher education than NYU.

But most people on this bored are clueless, with outdated information.

Well, my dad, uncle, brother, niece and nephew all went there, but ok.

Not even close to reality.
The Tufts booster crowd is strong on this board. If Tufts was located in Ohio it would be ranked only in the 40 range.

NYU
BC
Tufts
BU
GW - Vassar
Syracuse
Fordham

Where would Washington & Lee and Wesleyan fit in here?

Question: Are people ranking Temple low because of the school or the area? Just curious.

To add - OP, you need to ask someone from Boston about "rankings" - not people who have not set foot on half these campuses.

Here's the outcome ranking for those Boston peer schools by https://collegescorecard.ed.gov
(10 year out median)

1 Boston College: Average Annual Cost $37k, Median Earnings $93k

2 Northeastern: Average Annual Cost $30k, Median Earnings $80k

3 Boston University: Average Annual Cost $30k, Median Earnings $76k

4 Brandeis: Average Annual Cost $34k, Median Earnings $70k

5 Tufts: Average Annual Cost $37k, Median Earnings $67k

Tufts is extremely overrated.

Useless numbers since they're heavily influenced by numbers in majors that pay more.

Fordham was inducted into The Hidden Ivies in 2019. Don’t sleep on the Rams. Men’s basketball having a renaissance year (21-6). No injuries🤞🏼 To make March Madness, they need to win the A10 tournament and get at least one bye. Then it all hinges on committee selection process.

NYU has better "prestige" nationally and internationally.

NYU is ranked 25.
Tufts and BC are in the 30s

NYU is fine but is not better than BC and Tufts. NYU and GW are tied.
