Rank these schools for me

Without more info regarding major, no ranking is meaningful other than to place Temple University last.

If you are talking "prestige" or name brand only (i.e., major, quality of life, job prospects, etc. are irrelevant):

Tufts
BC
NYU
Villanova
Vassar
BU/GW
Syracuse
Fordham
Temple

NYU has better "prestige" nationally and internationally.

NYU is ranked 25.
Tufts and BC are in the 30s

Is NYU really that good???

It is hard for me to wrap my head around that, but that's probably a function of how old I am. I think NYU, like many other universities (e.g. Northeastern, USC, Florida), has really upped its game and its "wow" factor over the last 25 years.

And yet for both my kids, one a visual artist, and one a musician, Temple would be at or near the top of the list, over many of the other schools.

Refresh your memory
25-30 years ago, many of the now so called elite schools like Vanderbilt, UPENN, UChicago, WashU etc. had acceptance rate of 40%-70%
Isn't it more surprising?

Stern and College of Art & Science had 7% acceptance rate last year.

These old timers somehow strangely think that these changes are unique to these select schools.

Stern is (literally no one from my son's high school has been accepted to Stern in five years) but the rest of the school, no.

(Maybe Tisch? I don't know enough about that to comment.)

IMO there are very, very few schools that can say they do better with Arts and Sciences higher education than NYU.

But most people on this bored are clueless, with outdated information.
