yea very convincing |
| This NEU crazy is crazy! Obviously NEU played the rankings game well. |
There are many schools to choose from. No need to get obsessed over a college just because they rejected you or deferred you or whatever. |
No need to if you do coops during the school year. |
No comparison re: price. |
Super confused as to why “commuter school” is supposed to be an insult. Lots of kids around here could be commuting to UMD via train to save money but don’t. |
Good point LOL, in fact UMD is more of a commuter or suite case school today. That could be a pro and good thing for many students. |
The point is that 2 coops however it's integrated into its 4 year curriculum and 2 Summer internships at other schools are basically the same. Here's a sample 4 year plan for CS. https://catalog.northeastern.edu/undergraduate/computer-information-science/computer-science/bscs/#planofstudytext If you have some AP credits, you can have a Summer of two session off. |
Go to csrankings.org overall MD is ranked much higher. It is listed as around 11th overall last time I checked but #8 for AI. |
MD is 11 https://csrankings.org/#/fromyear/2012/toyear/2022/index?all&us NorthWestern is 12 But NorthEastern isn't listed, so falls below the top 25 |
Here's a very basic 4 year plan for MD https://undergrad.cs.umd.edu/sites/undergrad.cs.umd.edu/files/images/u167/CMSC%2007010%204%20Year%20Plan.pdf Many people would skip the first 2 semesters of math and maybe the first semester of CS. Also, there are 3-4 specializations that differ from this general plan. |
WTF are you talking about?? On The link https://csrankings.org/ UMD #11 and Northeastern is right below #12 1 is much higher????? |
Look again |
| Super cold vs somewhat cold |
Again, I have a family member in this program. 5 years is the standard time to completion if one does coops. No reason to lie. He likes it btw. Some families may care about the extra year, others would like the coops. |
