| Sticky Fingers in DC. As a baker, I’d need your definition of “healthy” to be of more help. But Sticky Fingers can do gluten free and is plant-based. |
| I like nothing bundt cake. Simple but delish. |
My kid was obsessed with Master Chef last summer so we ordered him a Milk Bar cake for his birthday. It was good (had a little crunch which was different, I didn't think it was too sweet) but it was not the best cake I've ever had, especially for that price. A positive was we ordered online with pickup and my husband discovered that the Milk Bar Logan Circle location has an actual parking lot which was a nice surprise.

Thank you for sharing this important development. I appreciate it! And yes, Heidelberg cakes are super delicious. Straight up vanilla - our "go to" birthday cake for years. If "healthy" means real butter, rather than crisco then this is your place. |
Such a strange reply. I’ve order several milk bar cakes and they are expensive but so so good. Better than anything else that I’ve found around here. |

I will always miss JennyCakes. RIP. We’ve ordered delicious cakes from Woodmoor Pastry Shop. I also like Nothing Bundt Cakes as a PP said - their cakes have the perfect texture. Also, cream cheese frosting FTW |
I've had the chocolate birthday cake and it was delicious. Also had the apple cider cake and it was VERY sweet. I love sweet, but it was too much even for me. |
I agree, Tout de Sweet! Definitely more for adults |

OP here 😊 thank you all for your replies! Sorry I should have specified that this was for a kid’s birthday. By “healthy” I meant minimal chemicals and cancerous agents like Red dye 3. As an example, this is the ingredient list for Safeway cakes… “Sugar, Vegetable Shortening (Interesterified Soybean Oil, Fully Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil, Mono- and Diglycerides, Polysorbate 60), Contains 2% or Less of Each of the Following: Corn Starch, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Salt, Guar Gum, Sugar, Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour (Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Egg Whites, Soybean Oil, Eggs, Water, Skim Milk, Cocoa Alkali Processed, Contains Less than 2% of the Following: Leavening (Baking Soda, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Propylene Glycol Mono and Diesters of Fats and Fatty Acids, Whey (a Milk Derivative), Salt, Mono and Diglycerides, Wheat Starch, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Modified Tapioca Starch, Sodium Caseinate (a Milk Derivative), Polysorbate 60, Guar Gum, Corn Syrup Solids, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Modified Corn Starch, Soy Lecithin. Contains: Wheat, Eggs, Milk, Soy, Cream, Salt, Butter, Water, Artificial Color (May Contain the Following: Blue 1, Blue 1, Red 3, Red 40, Yellow 5 or 6, Yellow 5 or 6 Lake), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.” |

If Buttercream in Shaw is still open, that place had the most amazing cake I've ever eaten.
Agree that MilkBar stuff is gross AF. |
