What are you putting in your third rack? (Dishwasher)

I'm dying to get one. I have a lot of baby bottles, sippy cups and al their associated tiny parts.

Lids, baking cups, little prep bowls, Tupperware from the lunchbox, spatulas. I use it a ton.

Get a Miele, not a Bosch. So worth the extra money.

That’s just another reason why you don’t buy a Bosch, crappy third racks.

LOVE my Bosch 3rd rack. I use it for silverware and small bowls, ramekins, and cooking utinsels. It frees up so much room for full sized dishes below. Mine is the 800 Crystal Dry and I use a rinse aid and have no issues with wet dishes.

For those who don't have enough room underneath.... i only use the third rack for utensils/silverware, so we keep it up as high as it goes. It maybe consumes 1.5 inches at the top of the dishwasher? No interference in the space below, for tall pots etc. And then i removed the utensil bin, which frees up about 20-25% of the bottom rack, which makes a huge difference on how often we have to run the machine. Once every 1.5 days instead of once a day.

But...is anyone else having an issue with the Bosch not drying their dishes? We have had ours for about 6 mos now and I'm really disappointed that everytime I go to unload it, there's so much water on all of my dishes.

Rinse aid, if you aren't using it already, made a huge difference in drying. I learned that from a difference thread!

Not if you space them properly, or maybe it's the design. We had a dishwasher with only two racks. When it died we got one with a third rack. We can fit all the same stuff we always fit into the first two racks, and now can fit 3 cat bowls, 6 ordinary water glasses (short kind), and little ramekins or extra silverware all into the third rack. I cook a lot for our family of four, and with the old dishwasher I often had a number of things that didn't fit and had to get washed by hand. Now I rarely do. Third rack makes all the difference.

I love the third rack on my Bosch. I put tiny prep bowls, Tupperware lids, cup lids, silicone liners for baking sheets, my cheap knives, rack out of my toaster oven. That thing is always full in my house.

Oh, also flexible plastic cutting boards and big kitchen utensils

Knives. Chopsticks. The tops of small plastic containers.

What do you think is crappy about them? I don’t think you’ve ever actually used one.
