What are you putting in your third rack? (Dishwasher)

Recently got a new Bosch with a third rack.

The only thing that fits are cooking utensils. And it makes it so tall cups don’t fit in the second rack.

Before I take it out, tell me what you put in/how you use your third rack? I feel like I’m missing something obvious.

Silverware. We removed the silverware baskets and all the silverware goes in the third rack.

Not silverware but any kitchen utensils - scrapers, spatulas, ladles, knives (yes, I put good knives in the dishwasher)
Cutting boards and cookie sheets
I didn’t want a third rack but I needed a dishwasher during Covid and had to take what was in stock. I use it every load now.

All the silverware - so quick to unload it when clean
Lids for cups
Small bowls

Love the 3rd rack and the whole Bosch dishwasher

Utensils and cutting boards. I don’t have glasses that don’t fit because of it.

Cat food bowls, glasses, lids for teacups. Our third rack has a tilted design, which is awesome.

You may also be able to adjust the other racks to give more space. We did this and can fit everything we fit in the old dishwasher that only had two racks, and now have the third as well. Love it.

have you tried lowering your second rack? most dishwashers have this feature.

My Bosch 800 second rack drops down, either on one or both sides, to fit taller items.

I use the third rack for small bowls and ramekins, overflow of utensils, measuring cups, some lids (although I don’t put most plastic lids in the dishwasher).

It’s designed to fit your everyday silverware. You may not realize this?

Also, as others said you can adjust all the rack heights.

You can adjust the heights. We put all of our silverware and cooking utensils on the third rack.

But...is anyone else having an issue with the Bosch not drying their dishes? We have had ours for about 6 mos now and I'm really disappointed that everytime I go to unload it, there's so much water on all of my dishes.
