OP, if you want to know what set people off, it was the “I have no desire to eat there”. Just say, “what’s good from from the Cracker Barrel store?”. You also were unlucky, Cracker Barrel is quite polarizing. There was one right next to my high school, so that’s where we snuck out to lunch. But I think it has turned into a place that people say they love to signal how down to earth and “regular folk” they are. I would love to take my kids there for nostalgia’s sake but there’s none close by and I’m afraid it wouldn’t be as good as I remembered! Sadly, that happened with Waffle House. |
