Montgomery County isn’t wealthy. Its average household income is only about $110K. It used to be wealthy in the 90s when the local government was centrist. Now it is a Communist county.

Remember how Venezuela was very wealthy in the 80s? Because of the oil boom? Then the Chavistas ruined it with communism and socialism. The same thing is happening in Montgomery County. Marc Elrich is a dictator like Chavez and Maduro and he governs based on Marxism-Leninism and that’s why there is business stagnation, poverty and shortages all across MoCo. It’s only getting worse, because pro-business-minded people are leaving and moving into Virginia. What’s Elrich gonna do, build a wall? Now the people who are choosing to live in MoCo are poor, immigrants, or people who agree with Communism.

yea all those rich people in Bethesda and Potomac, and scattered around the county. they support communism and give all their money to poor immigrants.

Yes, it's all true, we have nationalized the means of production and outlawed private property ownership in Montgomery County. From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs. Alle großen weltgeschichtlichen Tatsachen und Personen ereignen sich zweimal, das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce.

you know.. this is actually how Christ's followers lived. If conservative Christians want to really have Biblically based laws, then this is what they should do... but we all know they would never ever do that because at the end of the day, money > Christian values. #hypocrites.

Please cite in the NT where Jesus advocated nationalization of olive groves, fishing boats and sheep flocks.

Get back to us with that, will ya?

Well, there's the whole "Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."/"Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me." thing.

Not that the Roman Empire could really be said to have had a government that even could nationalize olive groves, fishing boats, and sheep flocks. Then again, neither does Montgomery County.

Please re-read the post and then go read your Bible

Acts 2:42-45

42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

a few more

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God. (Matthew 19:23).

To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. (Luke 6:29-31)

Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. (Acts 4:32-35)

Yes. Virginia in general is more conservative than Maryland. MoCo is very liberal and NoVa is moderately so. The rest of VA makes NoVa seem very liberal but it's not especially so.

Communists tend to have a lot of very wealthy people, who crave the power. Armand Hammer for example.

Scary! I'll be sure to lock the doors and keep the windows up, the next time I drive through Potomac. Who knows but that person walking their dog is a Communist! And the dog too.

There are more moderates/conservatives here, and I’m watching moco move farther to the left with people like Elrich. I have some friends here who insist that nova is just as liberal as moco but I have to disagree. Thoughts? Maybe it’s because I live out in Ashburn and don’t live in Alexandria or McLean.

Loudoun is more conservative because there are many first or second generation immigrants working in the area, especially in the tech field. They are very practical and just want to have a good job and life in the US. They are less concerned about Democratic policies because they are not helped by them and often come from cultures where people really don't care about the poor. The Indian caste system does not disappear when people arrive in the US.

Well at least come for a visit. We like to mess with you and have you go screaming back to Fentanyl alley, your urine and fecal coated streets, your cannabis soaked air, and the tent encampments that say so eloquently: Welcome to Washington, The Nation's Capital that looks like a third world slum.

Alexandria is halfway between the Pentagon and Belvoir. The population is more conservative than it appears

Please clarify that you are referring to Fairfax County with and Alexandria mailing address, not the City of Alexandria which is miles from Fort Belvoir

What is your point?

Mine is no one with a brain would move to VA with Youngkin.

Fixed it for you.

VA idiots voted in a liar. So you effectively live in a place that has dumber people than MD.
Good luck with that crap.

Oh, sweet one. Take a visit to Baltimore, Western Maryland, and the Eastern Shore and tell me that the people in Maryland are not dumb. They are so stupid that the Democrats have been screwing them over for years with glee.

OP, you could have looked at voting patterns and learned this before you moved
