Let's stop naming people and talking about Westfall. Let's get back to the article in the Alexandria Times. How is ACPS and APD going to say nothing happened with direct quotes from the police scanner? |
We need to find someone to replace Kay-Wyatt. Clearly she is Hutchings 2.0 |
Yep - that all sounds right for the Alexandria establishment. They are ok with federal employees being politically active if they agree with the PTAC crowd. If the federal employees disagree with the PTAC crowd then they must be intimidated and destroyed. But there are other options - the Alex Times reporter who clearly protects sources is one of them. Sad that people don't see what they COULD do & just want someone else to solve the problem. Had I known that they were doing this to her...I would have voted for her. Wish she would have gone public with it. |
Be realistic. This board LOVES Hutchings. Two of them (alderton and green) helped/are helping him promote his book and business. They LOVE his hand picked replacement. She will be the new super. That's not a fight you can win with this board because they support hutchings. Even people like Baird - who was OpenACPS' candidate of choice quickly succumbed to the ACHS prom king's charms, word salad and deep intellect. |
What has been encouraging to me this year is the West End PTA presidents speaking up and the West End parents coming to the meetings. There was the mom from Maury who was on WJLA. That took guts. The mom and dad from Patrick Henry and dad from Samuel Tucker, they had courage too. Their emotions got to me. These are the people we need to elect to the PTAC and school board.
I continuously ask our PTA president to speak up. It is obvious to me they are scared and do not speak up. But they want other parents to do so. I am tired. I am tired of the work. ACPS is exhausting. It could be great but we let politcal correctness get in the way of greatness. We have a lack of accountability. There is a total lack of transparency and communication. So many school board members ran on this platform, but where are they speaking up now? Only El Noubi. He is the only one who has spoken up in meetings and now he is pretty quiet. |
Could not agree more with this post. You are absolutely right about PTA Presidents who won't speak up but want other parents to. It's gross. And why nothing changes. |
We need people to replace Alderton. Get someone to run against her. Start working now. Her job is having Dr. Hutchings as the key note speaker: https://twitter.com/SpecialEdCoop
This is where Alderton works! She is promoting Dr. Hutchings as an expert. https://specialedcoop.org/about/staff/ Alderton is the program quality specialist |

This is Alderton's work conference. Alderton thought supported by the teacher's union and Alex Democrats works for charter schools which threaten public education funding. Look at her nonprofit's Tweets today and Dr. Greg Hutchings' Tweets today. It has the appearance of a conflict of interest. How many family members does she have working in ACPS? At one point it was three. Her kids go to Catholic schools and she works for a charter network and her she is contracting with the former superintendent. This is where her loyalty lies! And I'm the parent of Black ACPS students and a Dem. Why isn't anyone else seeing this?!?!? |
I saw the video of the incident. In and of itself, it was a fight at a high school, and in isolation, I would not feel that strongly about it. However, in the context of other events at ACHS and Minnie Howard, is is just another reason to be concerned about student safety. |
Yes to the PP it's a fight. My bigger concern is the lack of communication. The idea that the superintendent doesn't speak to the press and the school board doesn't either. It didn't sit well with me. I appreciated Booz and El Noubi speaking up to Hutchings about not being censored. I wish people would notice that super volunteer Willie Bailey, who I'm sure is a wonderful community leader, tried to silence these board members. To me silence is not okay. I don't need to know about minors, but I expect a bauds level of communication about how violence is addressed. There should be a zero tolerance policy. These students need to be engaged in violence intervention programs similar to a batterers intervention program. They need wrap around services and tgr school working with their families. They need to be in an alternative education setting. There is no ever else to place kids like in FCPS or APS where there are multiple HS to break up the interpersonal and group conflicts. |
There is currently a survey open to the community asking for public comment on what you want in the new superintendent. Now's your chance to be heard. |
Miyares visited ACHS in November. The SB and central office would be beyond foolish to believe ACPS is not on his radar and the district is immune from an investigation from the AG’s office. |
I can't say what, but..... it's coming. And it's going to be awesome. Hold tight. |
Would a grand jury look at a group like PTAC that aids and abets the district to silence parents? |
Oh, come on, get a grip! You may not like them but those people volunteer their time to help other PTAs. To suggest they should face criminal investigation or prosecution is really outrageous and beyond the pale. |
