Just realized you can now do it online: https://dchealth.force.com/animalservices/s/ |
Yes because they aren’t microchipped and at the age of 12 and 13 I’m not going to chip them. |
Yes. In FFX County you can get a fine for not displaying the rabies tag on the collar. |
For those who don't like the jingle of multiple tags, just use a rubber band or hair tie to secure the tags together so they don't jingle. |
Do you have a citation for this? I can't find one. None of our dogs have their vaccination tags on their colors. We also foster dogs for a couple of rescue groups and they only come with a tag with the rescue group info (all rescues are vaccinated before fostering). |
nope. He wears the collar all the time and the jingling would drive me crazy at night. I know where it is if I needed it ever |
No, but only because it fell off. I imagine it is the backyard, but I haven't been able to find it. |
Ha, we like the jingle because it warns the cats that the dog is coming! |
Yes, ours does. He has a dog tag silencer so eliminate the jingling. |
Same! |
Since you don't have a citation for this, I'll assume you're making sh!t up. I just got my Fairfax County dog registration tag in the mail. On the paper that came with it, it says to "Please keep this receipt as proof of your license". It says nothing about affixing the tag to the dog's collar. The receipt does indicate the rabies vaccination date and expiration date. All this leads me to believe that a rabies tag does not need to be affixed to a dog's collar. |
