Affidavit reveals Joaquin man killed woman as ‘sacrifice’
https://www.kltv.com/2022/11/16/affidavit-reveals-joaquin-man-killed-woman-sacrifice/?outputType=amp The mother of a man accused of murdering a Joaquin woman claims her son did so as a Satanic sacrifice. According to the affidavit, Sarah Hopson, 36, died via blunt force trauma to the head at the hands of Ethan Myers, 26, of Joaquin. An investigator with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of Hopson’s death at about 5 p.m. on Sunday after two deputies had arrived on-scene to conduct a wellness check. The check was conducted after two individuals, Allen Price and Teresa Louviere, came to the sheriff’s office claiming “Ethan Myers had done something to Sarah Hopson.” The affidavit states that as the investigator was waiting on the delivery of a search warrant, Myers’ mother arrived at the sheriff’s office and allegedly stated she had just recently spoken to Myers, who told her he was hiding in the woods and that Hopson “wanted him to sacrifice her,” which he then did. According to the affidavit, Myers’ mother said her son “hears voices and is Satanic.” Following the house search, Price and Louviere were interviewed by investigators at which time the affidavit states they advised that Myers had participated in cult activity. Not drug activity; cult activity. Also, no mention of drugs found when the home was searched. None of the 3 were charged with drug crimes. |

Christians as a rule don’t perform exorcisms. Trained members of some churches may perform exorcisms, but the average Christian does not. |

I went to Catholic school from K - 12. Jesus died FOR OUR SINS. It was literally a human sacrifice. |

PP again, of course not. They should pay the penalty our legal system proscribes. My point is religions is often crazy, people are often crazy. Don't get hysterical about "Satanists" because crazy people latch on to weird things and commit crimes. When I worry about being crimed "Satanists" aren't usually the group I fear most. Statistically most murderers are Christian white males. |
