Too late for the hacking heist, likely embezzlement. I don't think the bankruptcy trustees understood what they are dealing with and how fast they had to move given SBF and some FTX employees held the codes to the accounts.

This article has a few more names:

Musk has gone on Youtube today saying that SBF came to him offering to invest a couple of billion in Twitter. Musk said his impression of SBF was that he was a complete bullshi**er who wouldn't be able to deliver so he cut off discussions.

SBF and two other FTX executive reported to be under "supervision" by Bahamian authorities. The three, plus another executive, are said to be trying to find a way to get Dubai, which does not have extradition agreements. The fourth executive, SBF girlfriend Caroline Ellison, is said to be in Hong Kong, possibly on her way to Dubai.

SBF parents are two Stanford economics professors. What what they think of all this?

Same for the parents of his girlfriend Caroline Ellison. Her father is dean of economics at MIT. Have also heard her mother apparently is also a professor there.

Crypto chatter is that SBF's mother has reached out to Gary Gensler, chair of the SEC, to negotiate a deal for her son. She is a law professor at Standford who set up a super PAC, Mind the Gap, which raises money for Deomocratic campaigns.

Gensler was an economics professor at MIT and, so, in a sense Ellison's father was his boss.

Must be nice to have mom and dad like that.

Gensler won't give 2 poops about who SBFs mom and dad are, nor Caroline's. What he will care about is what high level dems say that might cost him what he believes is his shot at being treasury secretary.

They think that his tens of millions of dollars bribing "democratic" politicians were superbly well spent.

They have a former Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on their payroll. They certainly socially engineered this very well.

Are you talking about Wetjen? He was a placeholder chair for a hot second before crypto was really a thing. Nice guy, but carries no weight.

No idea but I wouldn't be surprised if the FTX guy had bought millions of Biden Jr's "art."

You have to respect the chutzpah.

Seems like every single person involved was a person of chutzpah.
