Auto repair is taking FOREVER

and hit my right back door.
They keep putting me off saying it’s almost ready. They have to paint, and it is the same song and dance.
I called a friend today and he got in touch with them and jacked them up. Just all empty promises and a nightmare.

I’m paying through the nose for a rental car in the process.

What do I do to get my car back? These people are certainly not getting 5 stars from me.

You need to call the manager and set an appointment to meet to discuss the status of the repair and see the vehicle. They need to tell you if it is issue of a backorderd part and identify the part. Is the bondo done and sanded? Has the car been primed? Get a firm date for completion of paint and clearcoat. It’s been less than a month, which isn’t extraordinarily long all things considered — unless they led to believe otherwise when the car was dropped off.
