You people on the private school forum are CRAZY.

This forum is always guaranteed to have 40 postings on inane bullshit.

Can't stop reading!

This thread is just pure fun, and anyone who doesn't enjoy it should just stop reading. That people have responded doesn't say anything about the Cathedral school community, for the posters are both Cathedral and non-Cathedral. All this thread means is that we are a cRaZy bunch!

Many times I have un-bookmarked this DCUM forum, but then I have bookmarked it again, and again. Can't stop reading!

Wow. So where Al went matters, but no one is asking about scuttlebutt at Tipper's alma mater?

The obsession with the Cathedral schools on here is insane. Truly.

I think the WaPo is also Cathedral School obsessed. The article the other day need not have mentioned STA, other than to use it as shorthand for Washington Establishment, I guess, hardly necessary given Gore's pedigree.

Legendary bad examples of American Royalty. Poor STA .

The interesting thing about Gore to STA boys is his and Tipp's alledged hissy fit when their son was caught smoking pot at school. Supposedly they resented being told anything about their darling child. I don't know if he was expelled......Then Sidwell and harvard took him and through all his problems continued. I believe he was elected president of the class at Sidwell. STA was the only school to have the ba11s to tell these people the truth. Did STA students elect him as a prefect? At Sidwell he was a hero and i doubt it was only for football.

Ok then --- you should start a similar post about SSSA...I live in DC so I'm interested in DC schools...if you live in VA...take the bait and ask about Tipper's alma mater SSSA.

Out of curiosity, where did Tipper go to school?

It's in the Washington Post and other papers across the nation: St. Agnes before it merged with St. Stephens into present-day SSSAS.

Which college in the Boston area did Tipper attend to be near Al, who was at Harvard?

Garland Jr. College (now Simmons) + she later transferred to BU

Al Junior was a very nice guy and liked by whole Sidwell community, including faculty, but sadly from news accounts he seems to have struggled with drug use after college for a time at least. Believe he was not expelled from STA but was disciplined, and parents went ballistic because 8 th grade classmates leaked incident to Washington Post. Can understand anger at that but Big Al's wholesale rift with STA over this is perhaps excessive.

No, Al III (not Al Junior -- that's the ex-VP) was asked to leave STA because he was found smoking pot on the cathedral close. Zero tolerance policy at STA.
