Yeah, I agree with this. Peloton only announced Daniel's departure on the Facebook group (super sus). Someone mentioned it on Reddit and the discussion was shut down as a rumor (??). Same with the main FB group. Somebody knows something and Peloton desperately doesn't want it out.

I wonder if he went out on medical leave and they fired him?

I was wondering that, too! Is that legal?

Even Peloton wouldn’t be that stupid. And there were no prior injury/leave announcements, just radio silence and then a departure. None of the other instructors have posted about it either which points to something less sympathetic for him. My guess is a substance use issue or a breach of internal policies. Admin leave for a month and then a firing after an investigation is standard.

Oh substance use would make sense.

I’m sure all the instructors were told not to comment on it at all.

What do you think it was? I swear I've seen an instructor or two reference marijuana; alcohol for sure...

I think PP was talking more about abuse than use.

I thought this thread was going to be about some new outlawed sex move

Yes, abuse. Sorry.

I have a good friend who was one of the original Peloton instructors and was “let go” a few years ago. The company was horrible and cold about it. It wasn’t for cause either, they just told her, literally the day after she came back from bereavement leave because her parent had died, they wouldn’t renew her contract. She was a GREAT instructor, her classes were removed after the copyright lawsuit.

People get laid off all the time, but Peloton was super cold about it and she said all the instructors, including the ones she thought were years long friends, immediately stopped speaking to her (except for John Michael).

I didn’t know Chase left! He was great!

Does anyone remember when Oliver left? I think he was DMing girls on instagram

Oliver was great. I also really liked Daniel. I did not liek chase. He acted like a spiritual advisor instead of an exercise instructor. A Peloton instructor is not qualified to be a spiritual advisor!

The JJ departure was messy for sure. She was a terrific instructor! I thought she was still friends w Ally and HMC but maybe that’s just for the ‘gram. She did move to France pretty quickly afterwards to be with her family, or so I thought.

He was sending dick pics, and was also in a relationship with Olivia. Dumb move!
