Private doesn't need your kid.

So you’re going to have to find a new school for high school anyway?

How much does your kid like the private?

How much does the money mean to you?

It’s tricky. I been in your spot. Tried DCPS for PreK and K, went private for 1st. DCPS is hit or miss even at the schools you mentioned. If you’re wanting concierge service, responsive teachers and admin, at WoTP elementary, it was non existent. But at the end of the day it’s elementary school. I’d say if you want Deal or Hardy, try it. If not, your best bet is to stay private.

norwood parent here - totally agree with 8:47 poster. Satisfactory academics, lots of entitled kids in my child's grade who never have real consequences for their behavior (perhaps this is true at all private schools around here), nothing really special.

These posts are so silly and self-involved. You wouldn't "out yourself" with just a name of a school.

I agree.

If you can afford it, stay.

And, you’ll make more friends too. My three all are going through - Murch/Deal/JR. Not perfect but my kids are all thriving, less entitled then they would be and know how to advocate for themselves as well as dealing with issues.

This op. We ended up going back to elementary in 2nd grade and haven’t looked back (yet).
