I have twins with no other children and had my mother, a nanny, and a very involved non-traveling DH and we were all always busy during the first six months. It may have been easier if I formula fed the babies but I breastfed. And twins are generally small so feedings were every two hours around the clock. An extra set of arms to comfort and burp one baby while I continued to feed my slower eater was vital. Plus having someone to make meals for me and let me sleep a bit.

One more piece of advice, OP: only take advise from mothers of twins. No one else has a fricking clue.
