I say good for him for trying to create the change he wants to see in the world.
And then there's OP...... |
This. My ANC turned over due to the 2020 election and the new leadership team implemented basic security settings to prevent zoom bombing (alternated between porn and people saying the n-word as much as possible) that had derailed a number of virtual meetings. They also explain features during each meeting to help those who might not be Zoom-literate participate. |
I’m pretty sure that was in the prenup. Anyone will and able to step into public service - good luck. |
Liquor license or noise ordinance? Is there anything else than needs their approval? |
HPRB, BZA, some DDOT projects... |
| If lacking "experience" means avoiding involvement with the implementation of policies that have contributed making large swathes of the planet uninhabitable for future generations, that's probably a good thing. |
Not approval. Great Weight just means that these agencies and Boards need to address the concerns express by an ANC, but they are not bound to ANC resolutions. Not even close. |
An ANC calling for changes to a project in a HP could very well spell "work [] significantly impacted by an ANC." BZA, too. Look at the Superfresh site. |

Boomers: "You younger generations are too lazy and obsessed with your screens to vote, so shut up and be happy while boomer politicians ruin the world for a future they won't even be alive to to reap the consequences of!"
Boomers when younger generations run for office: "How dare you 'foist yourself' upon voters when my generation was too lazy and obsessed with their screens to even field a candidate!" |
And the Mayor's office removed the DDOT role at the end of 2021. |
STFU you ageist twit. I'm a boomer, and I was one of the first to jump on OP about her ridiculous post. |
Stereotyping is never good but it’s also true that your generation’s elected officials have left future generations with one hell of a mess to clean up. It’s not unsurprising that some react so viscerally to those “boomers” who oppose younger candidates solely on the basis of their age. It’s every bit as stupid as claiming that “boomers” should be disqualified from office on account of their generations’ environmental legacy. |
100% You don't like his candidacy do something constructive instead of complaining on an anonymous forum. |
Yeah I don't understand how someone running who meets all the legal requirements is being "foisted" on anyone. He got the signatures, met the residency requirements and is running. Nobody is being forced to vote for him |
