Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
You think so because MCPS also quit reporting any data about cases at the end of the year. |
It was 5th grade and started with just 1 class and then they changed it to the whole grade and they had to wear masks at graduation. |
No because I know the kids and the teachers and they report the same. |
| I wish a condition of in-person school were non-optional testing. If you don't consent, you can go to VA. Why should a few selfish people put everyone else at risk. |
| I hope there is a mask mandate |
But tests aren’t catching Covid for days after people are exhibiting symptoms, so there is no value in this type of testing. |
| Well polio is back so sure no mask mandates have at it |
It’s too difficult to enforce. Mask optional is the best you can hope for. I know teachers that want masks banned. |
It’s the way of the world now. Covid is background noise. The era of overreaction and accommodation is over. The conversation has moved on to Monkey Pox, so the MCPS board whiners still have something to look forward to. |
Do you have mandatory testing at your job? Do you have mandatory testing for employees at the grocery store? Mandatory testing to enter a restaurant? No. So there is no justification for mandatory testing in schools. |
From your keyboard to God's ears. We can only hope that they "pander" to the realists. |
No teachers want masks banned. Kids are fine with masks, it’s the adults who can’t handle them. Teachers want their kids to feel safe and comfortable in schools. If that means no mask, fine. If that means a mask, that’s fine too. |
Get the SROs to arrest anyone not wearing a mask for violating the law! |
Yes, we do have mandatory testing at my job. The result is that there is no spread there. |
I know several people who still have mandatory testing. |
