Wait - Science can be wrong? Drug companies create and distribute meds with marginal value to make a profit?
No way!!! Who could have ever guessed?! It’s sad but a little bit deserved by us as Americans. We should be a little more skeptical where billions of dollars of research money goes each year. With very little results.

I know many people in healthcare and many people who work in pharma, and I don't know a single person who thinks that way. Can you imagine going into cancer research and devoting your life to it but all the time secretly hoping you don't succeed so people will continue to be sick? Or becoming a pediatrician and hoping sick kids stay sick so their parents will keep bringing them in?

It doesn't make sense, because it doesn't happen.


+1 I can be cynical but this goes too far.

Though of course it did apply to the opioid epidemic.
