Yeah its not like Cox voters didn't know about him before through the likes of WMAL, Fox News, Parlor, Trump himself, Facebook, Twitter, OAN, etc. People seriously overestimate how much Dems had influence. Many Republicans were going to vote for the Trump backed candidate to begin with. |
| Remember when we thought Hillary would win? Don't take anything for granted. |
True. But at least Hillary did win in Maryland. |
By a lot. |
| You all need to get out and vote. Get your friends to vote, we need to defeat Cox, Glassman and Peroutka by 30 points+ |
If there is any universal truth we know about the state of Maryland, it that we hate Donald Trump. He didn’t capture more than a third of the vote in 2016 or 2020. In the coming months we are going to hear a lot about Cox’s associations with Trump. |
|
Cox will lose by a lot. Question is, will he cling to Trump the whole way down? Or will he go all “Trump, never heard of him!” in a desperate, fruitless attempt to win? |
I refused to vote for Franchot because I'm trying to fix years of problems with the MD Dept of Taxation, which he ran, and it's a mess and a half. Can't run a department? Guess you can't run a state. |
That’s a good point. I similarly refused to vote Perez because of a similar history of incompetence running the DNC and DOL. Wes Moore obviously has limited executive experience but I would rather give him a shot than give more opportunities to people who have proven themselves incompetent. |
Exactly. |
Serious question. Why are you judging local politicians by national politics? Even if Cox won (which he won't) he can't do a think to take away minority rights. Not one damned thing. |
