Get over yourself this post is absurd. While yes I personally would not let my kid work there. NO one and I mean no college counselor cares what the job was in HS Go back to your judgemental hole. And I agree with a PP I would never ever hire someone who went to Liberty University. |
| I wouldn’t want my kid to go to a colleged that judged him for working at Chik-fil-a. Sounds like an absolute dystopia. |
Your premise I think is wrong. Schhols, admin, and professors may be left leaning but IMO admissions people tend to be middle of the road or apolitical. I do not think they are left leaning as a group. As to you question, it would be a plus. Hobby Lobby would be a plus. Republican National Committee would be a plus. |
| Best sandwhich; best fast food. I am a republican and I would eat it if AOC owned it. We all have to get over this nonsense boycott stuff. |
I agree that, if anything, it's an advantage. My DC just started working there, too, and the level of training is impressive. I can't imagine an AO would hold a CEO's comments against a teenage worker. |
This “boycott stuff” actually works. It’s free market feedback and voting with our dollars. And it worked with Chick-fil-A too (see PP’s link from their walk back) |
|
| Now Hobby Lobby is a different story. Might as well keep your list to ND, BYU, Baylor, Liberty and Hillsdale. |
| It seems to me that Chick-Fil-A has a lot of young employees from diverse backgrounds who are taught valuable lessons about customer service that will help them in their later lives as they interact with others, whether it’s other customers, professors, clients, etc. |
I don’t think it’s a ridiculous question. My son is a legacy at an extremely selective college. When I looked up the bio of his regional admissions officer, I noticed that the AO openly listed his orientation as gay. So I think I had cause to be concerned given my DC’s application will get a longer look due to his legacy status. |
I belive the emoji was a reaction to the highlighted "Only Fans" comment |
Chick-fil-A isn’t hurting for businesses because a few people boycott them over their personally held beliefs. The place is closed on Sunday for crying out loud, they play Christian music in some stores, and there’s still a line around the building everyday from open until close. Most people overlook any differences they may have and go there for the good food, and quick and polite service. They also give back to local schools and communities and give employee scholarships more than any private company I’ve seen. That LGBTQ person with a chip on their shoulder thinks they’re hurting Chick-fil-A business but really are just missing out on some yummy chicken biscuits and delicious peach milkshakes. They can boycott till the cows come home, that’s the free market like you said, but Chick-fil-A is doing just fine without them. I have to wonder if the PP also boycotts Amish and Mennonite markets as well or if they don’t buy vegetables from farmers with Christian beliefs? At what point do you stop eating food to prove a point? |
Be sure and link his Only Fans page to the gay admissions officer. So much better credibility than working at Chick-fil-A. |
| Politics aside, CFA is garbage fast food no one should have to eat. And yes, I have tried it. Disgusting. |
When someone is donating large sums of money to deny your fundamental rights that goes beyond chip on your shoulder. In the Amish donation example, are the Amish making large profits that they give to conservative causes or paying the salaries of employees who then give significant donations to conservative causes or candidates? No one who refuses to go to CFA thinks they are going to tank a corporation by going to Popeyes instead of CFA. |
