| Also, the power differential almost always exists with abuse. People with gobs of money and status figure they can get away with abusing a family member with mental health issues and other problems. Heck they target the vulnerable. I wouldn't be surprised if this kid was abused prior by other people. A lot of criminals have a history of being abused. |
You can google!! There are a number if articles to choose from. |
| Ricky is set to testify tomorrow in front of a judge. I read that the restraining order was issued last week without Ricky or his attorneys ability to testify or speak to the judge. Is that the normal way restraining order is issued? |
x1000000 Plenty of people who aim to portray themselves as the pinnacle of the neighborhood are people you should never trust in a million years. |
+1 BINGO. |
Yes and it happens that way in the states too - to obtain a temporary restraining order one need only make credible allegations which meet the criteria of the statute. A mandatory hearing takes place within a short time period - 20-30 days usually - and at that hearing the petitioner’s allegations are subject to the test of cross examination by the respondent and at that stage further evidence can be presented but often when it comes to sexual abuse or domestic violence, the evidence is largely testimonial. |
| The nephew withdrew their claims and the restraining order has been dropped. |
AKA an extreme amount of money is funneling from one channel to another. |
Or they are getting him the help he needs. You have no idea what it's like to have a severely mentally ill person in your family. |
| I think now that said nephew has dropped his case - Ricky Martin should now sue HIM for all the negative publicity his accusations ensued. |
I think you are wrong here. Just because Ricky is rich + famous does not automatically mean that he is guilty of abuse. What he is being accused of needs to be proven in a court of law and it is highly unlikely this nephew has any tangible evidence to present because it is very unlikely someone with such a squeaky clean image would abuse anyone, lest his own family member. |
| This was never a criminal case. Zero evidence presented and do you really think RM is standing outside someone’s house for three days. |
I think that is very scary that someone can get a restraining order with no evidence. Unless your a woman, you can have a mountain of evidence and then there’s no restraining order issued. |
Um it could be both. Identified patient in a disturbed family system. If your uncle had a sexual relationship with you, might mess you up too, especially if you already had emotional struggles. |
