Blair swimming team is very welcoming -- great kids and parents !!!

Based on what I saw last year almost all went to tryout were accepted to the team. Not only that our coach (Coach Kelly) always tried to make sure all swimmers got a chance to compete. So yes, it is likely your son will be accepted and assigned to compete.

We will have a tough year to compete with WJHS, Whitman, Churchill, Wootton after moving from Division B to Division A.

Really? Last year I saw cut times for the team and based on that my freshman didn’t try out. Are there really no cut times?

The news release does say it will be used for competitions. So maybe not for the HS swim practices but yes for the meets??

DC also did not try out based on cut times. Would have made most but not all.

Which HS swim dive teams will use the new facility? B-CC, Blair and those closer to downtown Silver Spring than MLK Rec?

My guess is some of the teams that currently practice at KSAC, since it will be closing for two years when it gets renovated.

Swim team is generally miserable experience on most HS teams if not a club swimmer swimming 8x a week. Find something else.
