Sigh. Median home prices are higher in Maryland than Virginia. |
Yes, there are a fair share of retirees who bought into the area several decades ago, when it was affordable. And people still working who have kids in college But for the past 2-3 years, at the recent bi-annual neighborhood BBQs at the grass triangle at bottom of the hill this house is on, there have been lots, I mean lots, of young kids from infants to middle school. I know some of them, but there are many I don’t know. There’s a MoCo schools bus stop near this house, which will take your kid to Blair for HS or for a connection to one of the other downcounty programs. For Takoma ES and MS your kid will need to walk or carpool, but there are always two crossing guards at the intersection of Piney Branch and East West. No, this isn't my house for sale. |
I know but gems like this show that MD is such a better value too. |
Seems like it will be escalated, some or a lot is the question. |
| Bids were due today on this house and I hear it received more than a dozen and went for at least 1.5. |
Another example of a DCUM poster who is a complete moron. !4 offers, 9 preinspections. Went over 1.5 and lost. |
Yes many... |
| Closed for $1.54M on July 28. |
| In 2000 that house sold for $354k. |
In general, home prices in this region were flat most of the 90s until around 2005 when they tripled. |
