How about a Constitutional Amendment on abortion?

So do we think red states are going to ban IUDs plan b and other forms of oral contraception that they either don't like or don't understand??
And if so, how are couples? Even married couples going to navigate this?. Are a bunch of men just going to go get snipped now or our condoms going to make a huge comeback. I may need to start buying some stock.

Why can’t the work be done at the state level? Look at the states that have the most restrictive regulations or those that have the most swing voters to try to repeal the limitations enforced. Especially if you push for 12 week limits other than extreme cases, there should be many states that can be won.

Why should work be done at the state level? Do people even understand why we have a Constitution and what its purpose is? It is a Bill of Rights, and its purpose is to limit government (federal AND STATE) and elected majorities from robbing ANY citizen of their basic human rights, freedom and dignity.

The US constitution was expressly designed to be amended, and has already been amended many times, because the founders recognized that society changes.

If MAGA’s want to make the case that agency over one’s body is not a basic human right, then bring it.

Plus if liberal folks are more likely to support abortion, become more limited in ability to get an abortion leading to more children born to liberal parents, eventually the republicans will be outnumbered in a substantial way enough to create a constitutional amendment.

Republicans are celebrating, but down the road, this will lead to more and more Democrats dominating the population.

This is the most bizarre “logic” I think I’ve ever seen. WTF?

Bizarre, yet also possibly.... true?

Huh? Since liberals are more likely to support abortions, liberal states will continue to liberally provide abortions. Thus less children will be born to liberal parents in liberal states while more live children will be born in conservative states. Pro abortion activists are actually facilitating a less liberal population.

Exactly.

Hilarious.

Only poor women in those states will have unwanted children.

How do you think they and their children will vote?

Well these are.my thoughts too. And I'm all for some regulations with abortion, same.with guns,.but once it's amended it will be a free for all. But I will sacrifice my discomfort with some abortion decisions and procedures for the right of all.women to determine their parenting and physical and emotional.comfort with said (impacts men too).
