I have no idea whether this is a "DCUM success" but the idea that IRS would have this data is ludicrous on its face because some families earn so little that they don't need to file. There's no way they would use this for FARMS eligibility, which is a very specific list of criteria. |
This is great news
Be careful using point totals. That was a document from when FCPS was sued. The actual point system/criteria/weight is most likely different that what was posted. |
Incorrect. Some applicants were in school in fall of 2021. |
Out of a total possible 1125 points. |
Which NoVA schools were in person in fall 2021? |
300 GPA, 300 SPS, 300 Math/Science test. up to 225 additional experience points of which meals was 90. |
|
I don't think it's about being smart or not. The question itself was vague, and people thought everyone would've answered "yes" since in 2021-2022 everyone is receiving free meals under the covid-19 - the question was "are you receiving..." |
You went to pick up lunches in March 2020? |
There were two questions. Are you eligible and are you currently receiving free lunches. |
Good that they are not making the students ineligible, as the application did not ask if the student was eligible for FARMS. |
+1. Why didn’t they verify before offering admissions. What incompetence. |
+1 It was clear what the questions meant which is why we answered no to both. Only someone trying to game the system would say yes if they weren’t truly ED. |
Loudoun. Fairfax wasn't? |
Maybe they falsely assumed families would answer ethically. |
