She says “I want to continue to shed light on the many stages of my chronic illness and chronic illness in general. hope to come back again SEASON 2 and share my full story”. |
I understand the concept in theory, but not in execution. Swig, for example, is known for soda and frosted sugar cookies. That’s such an unappealing combo to me. |
No.
Who cares if some Mormon influencers are swingers? Hell, sounds like about the most fun you can have in Utah. If you don't ski. Or something. |
She looked really rough in that first group scene compared to her perfectly done up cast mates. |
It’s clear this show was not produced by Bravo Andy.
It could have been so much better. |
Gross to me too but spend some time on the Mormon mom blogs and it's a thing, especially with those sort of flirting with eating disorders, which is a lot of them. Wake up and drink tons of soda and eat candy so you get hopped up to work out then starve it out til dinner. So yeah, huge soda and a sugar cookie makes sense there. |
Do Mormons not put any priority on young women getting college degrees? I'm currently watching the show and this is what strikes me about all of them, they are not dumb, but they are uneducated.
It's also fascinating how they are all the primary breadwinners for their families. This is clearly going to cause friction for some them -- you can already see it with Jenn and Zach. He wants to control the relationship, but you can see her thinking, "wait a minute buster, I'm making the money." It's just a matter of time before that boils over. And then Taylor and Dakota. She got so upset being called white trash, but then as the show went on and you see their behavior, it's hard not to judge. Neither one of them should be having kids or getting married. They are both emotionally stunted. Does she have kids from her first marriage? |
Huh watching first episode now. Honestly they all seem kind of awful because there is just so much fakeness and it's all about living their lives on social media and getting validation from external sources for very superficial reasons.
I also don't think they are all beautiful. They all have a LOT of fillers and wear a ton of makeup and have fake tans and highlights and extensions and I think a bunch of them have veneers. Basically if you do that to anyone they will look "Instagram pretty" which is different from being actually beautiful. I think all the interventions are helping some of them look above average and others I think would probably be a lot better looking without it. I was curious about their finances so I looked up real estate in Herriman where they all seem to live and there's a ton of new builds there for pretty cheap. Like here's a 7 bed 4 bath new build for $725k: https://redf.in/2bVTXu So that at least explains some of their finances. Cost of living is really cheap there compared to other places. |
725k is NOT cheap. It's not cheap here in DMV and it's certainly not cheap there. That's a huge mortgage to carry. |
$725K mortgage when you are in your early 20's? That's not normal. That's an expensive house. |
Most UMC+ Mormons place a high priority on young women getting college degrees, especially Gen X parents and younger. But these women are raking in much more money than your typical college-educated twenty-something! And ya, Taylor and Dakota - hard to call them white trash. She has two kids from her first marriage. The domestic violence seen - the real reason she went to jail is because she inadvertently hit one of her kids with a chair that night (she was aiming for Dakota), and the kid had a big bump on his head when the police showed up. I don't mind trashy reality TV, but watching Taylor screw up her and her family's lives hurts my heart - not sure I can keep going. |
Autocorrect failed me on that post. Sorry for the terrible grammar. |
It's 725k for a 7 BED 4 BATH, 3000+ sq ft new build house. Which means you can get smaller new builds for less. Also means that if some of them bought houses 5 years ago they got them really cheap and have tons of equity. And no you cannot by a 7-bedroom new build in the DC area for 725k. That's a 2m house here. |
Sort of, but also not really. You can still major in "Family studies " at BYU and get your college degree, but it's basically home ec plus basic bill paying and teaching religion to your kids. Jenn is delusional with this breadwinner thing. Her mom is a janitor and she married a guy from a rich family of heart surgeons with a husband following suit. I laughed when she said he couldn't pursue being a surgeon without her shaking her ass on the tok just because she is currently earning more while he is in school and residency, as if his educated and wealthy family weren't going to obviously be floating him as he pursued his degrees. She is very uneducated and obviously doesn't understand the long game. I think she's way overplaying her hand and they'll break up because of this. Whatever she makes now will not hold for 30 years. |
